Did you know that over 18% of the worlds code was written by programmers fueled by pizza? It would surprise me if you did, because I just made that up. But at any rate, nothing tastes more disgusting than the pizza you have to eat because you're stuck at work on a Saturday desperately trying to finish a project that was due on Friday.
This Saturday, however, SpeedRabbit pizza gave us reason to smile. Perhaps looking to cash in on the lucrative "overweight programmer" market, they have developed the all-new IE8Explorer pizza!
Crème fraîche, mozzarella chedder, reblochon cheese, blue cheese, goat's cheese, capsicum and tomatoes. That's IE8Explorer. That's a lot of cheese. But we knew it must be good to bare the name of such a high quality web browser.
Excitedly we ordered one.
My co-worker asked if would be possible to upgrade to the IE9 Beta pizza, but the SpeedRabbit employee had no idea what we were talking about. He must be running Windows XP.
The parallels between the pizza and the browser are many. Both look and feel horrible and make you a bit sick after trying them. Both are equally bad at rendering HTML5, though the pizza seemed a bit more stable.
Feel free to continue drawing parallels in the comments.
I see from that photograph that it doesn’t correctly support the box model.
Crème fraîche and 4 cheeses? Sounds like quirks mode to me.
“Both are equally bad at rendering HTML5” Love it.
IE8Explorer sounds not really stomach compliant!
And we see some side effect on the top of the box in the last photo! http://www.mrspeaker.net/images/ie8-explorer-pizza-2.png
I hear things get messy if you try putting IE 8 and IE 7 in/on the same box
