“Retired” is not actually a method of dismissal as the fielding team can not appeal for the batsman to be given out. You are correct though about it being counted as a wicket. There are ten methods of dismissal. You have listed all of them.

Really? “Runner stumped” and “runner runout” is just plain old “runout”. “Retired out” is not “retired hurt” (where you can come back) – retired out means you just say “I’m not batting anymore” – and you are out, and the wicket count goes up by 1.

I believe. I’ll do some further research one day when I’m really really bored.
